3 ways a space can affect your mood + Free Checklist
The past year ended pretty rough. I lost my father (God rest his soul) and it was hard to get back into things.
What helped me through this difficult time was to create a space where I could bring peace back into my life. We sometimes forget the importance of how our space reflects how we feel on the inside. I made sure to create a more meaningful space for me and my family during this tough time. I noticed my family and myself were instantly calmer when I applied a few changes.
1) Brightness- Letting in light both natural and artificial in rooms have proven to improve depression and anxiety.
2) Comfort- Keeping extra pillows and throws at hand. Studies show that soft textures can bring ease to your mood when you instantly touch them.
3) Aromatherapy- Lighting up a candle or diffuser can help ease depression, speed up the healing process, eliminate headaches and boost your energy.
Having a space filled with love, great memories, and peaceful elements allowed us to grieve properly and look forward to our new season in life. If you feel inspired to change your space to help boost your mind, body and soul then the checklist down below is just for you.

In loving memory, Baba. You are the reason I studied Psychology, you are the reason I continued this business. I hope I can live up to your dreams. 8/30/1957 - 12/26/2018
